Isa Rus is a Spanish photographer based in Germany.
Her work explores care as the architecture of belonging. Working between southern Spain and northern Germany, she photographs motherhood, multiculturalism and hospitality as different expressions of the same question: how do we become at home somewhere?
Drawing on her background in sustainable tourism, she approaches hospitality as a form of care. Her photographs and moving stills move between portrait, landscape and domestic space, tracing the relationships that bind people to one another and to the places they inhabit.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections, including that of Chikai Ohazama, co-founder of Google Earth. Editorial and commercial commissions include DIE ZEIT, Das Magazin, Vogue, Atmos and OpenAI.
Based in Germany. Working internationally in Spanish, German and English.
